I started reading Wolfgang Herrndorf’s “Arbeit und Struktur” (work and structure) yesterday. Herrendorf is a German author who is known to many people for his coming of age novel tschick. Work and Structure is the printed version of his blog, in which his diagnosis of cancer is presented in diary entries - unfortunately the story doesn’t end well, herrendorf follows his exit strategy 2013 and commits suicide. The book is very intensive due to its diary format and Herrendorf’s honest approach to cancer is impressive. Even though I have not yet finished with the book - I am pretty sure that I will count it among my favorite books.
Spring is finally coming back to Berlin. The streets are full of people who could finally leave their winter low behind them. It’s the same with me - I finally have my Bachelor of Science and I’m looking forward to the coming summer months full of euphoria. A huge load has fallen from my shoulders and I have the feeling that a plug has been pulled.
